  • Albion under-18s suffer fifth-straight loss
  • Leicester hit three goals in five minutes either side of half-time
  • Keenan King hits brace for hosts, including 35-yard volley
  • Connor Tighe converts late penalty for Seagulls
LEICESTER CITY - 3
King, 42, 43
Barnes, 47
ALBION - 1
Tighe, 75 (Pen)
Three quick-fire goals conceded either side of half time resigned Brighton and Hove Albion under-18s to a 3-1 defeat at Leicester City.
Albion had defended fairly solidly for the majority of the first half and the Seagulls were agonisingly close to capitalising on their stoic defending when Foxes defender Elliot Moore denied Jack Rowe-Hurst a run through on goal.
But the away side’s defence was breached as half-time approached, as Keenan King made himself space for a shot before beating Harry Doherty with a well-placed finish.
Just a minute later, King doubled the lead and his tally with an outstanding 35-yard volley, with confidence clearly flowing from his strike moments before.

The hosts’ goal-scoring form continued into the second half as an interchange between Ndukwu and Barnes allowed the latter the chance to successfully make it 3-0.Despite recent poor form Albion cannot be criticised for lacking character over the past few difficult matches, and created chances with time ticking on.
Captain, Jamie Horncastle went very close with a back-post header, before Rowe-Hurst was bundled over in the penalty area to win a spot-kick.
Like last week, Connor Tighe stepped up and converted the penalty well to give Albion a glimmer of hope, however Leicester City were able to see the remaining 15 minutes out.
Albion: Doherty, Courtney, Horncastle, Barnett (Cadman 65), Cox, Mar-Larusson (Meyers 65), Hutchinson, Tighe, Rowe-Hurst (Sanders 81), Maguire-Drew, Tilley
