I don't think so just yet. There's no winding-up petition from their creditors apparently, so not formally insolvent and thus no punishment (as I see it).

What is the difference between calling in Receivers, and going into Administration ?
Or are they the same ? Or do the receivers then, likely as not, put the football club into administration ?

I think going into receivership avoids the 10 points deduction. However if there is a breach to the insolvency rules a deduction of up to 30 points can be made.

I think in the case of Southampton it was fairly easy to prove they were inextricably linked , with Birmingham it could be more of a spaghetti junction.
