Cost us the cup final with his over the top tackle on Ramsey. We were 1 up at the time and reasonably comfortable until that **** took Ramsey out. We had to bring on our only sub, Gerry Ryan, to play at right back. The balance of the game then shifted and they went 2-1 up before Stevens equalised. "And Smith Must Score" may never have happened if Ramsey had stayed on and not been crippled by that horrible ****.

And in fact Ramsey's injury prevented him from getting back in time to defend the far post when Stapleton scored the equaliser for those red *******s. Gerry Ryan replaced him immediately after the goal. The challenge was a certain red card by today's standards but Whiteside wasn't even booked.
