Out of the dark and into the light

Do not underestimate the power of exercise. Amazing what a simple run or gym session can do for the mind.

I agree with the writing things down too.

When I went through a period of feeling really low, my GP prescribed 6 free sessions at the local gym, as exercise releases endorphins which make you feel better.

One day at a time :moo:

This.. When it's really dark, all you need is to get through today without doing something stupid/self-destructive/irreversible. Worry about tomorrow tomorrow.

Don't look any further ahead, just work through one day at a time. Find something that gives you a little lift today (walk, conversation with a stranger, call a friend/family, whatever) , go to bed, tomorrow is a new day.

Courage to change the things I can,
and the Wisdom to know the difference."
