Brighton & Hove Albion under-18s conceded two penalties as they lost 3-0 to Tottenham Hostpur at the American Express Elite Football Performance Centre on Saturday.
A tight and ultimately goalless first half produced a very limited amount of chances, but Albion went close after half an hour as Connor Tighe played a neat one-two with James Tilley before forcing a good save from Spurs goalkeeper Thomas Glover.

Albion keeper Bailey Vose was also called upon in the first period, denying Marcus Edwards with a decent save before half-time.
The dangerous Edwards was then brought down in the area by Dylan Barnett 11 minutes after the re-start, and the forward brushed himself down to score from the penalty spot.

Fifteen minutes later Kazaiah Sterling was tripped by Vose in the six-yard box and this time he stepped up to take the spot kick, which was duly dispatched.Tighe continued to have the best of the Seagulls’ efforts, first with an acrobatic effort which went over the bar, then moments later the winger forced a parried save out of Glover, following a swift counter-attacking move.
Spurs, though, were able to wrap the game up on 75 minutes as substitute Keanen Bennetts headed in at the far post following Kyle Walker-Peters’s cross from the right.
ALBION: Vose, Courtney (Maguire-Drew 56), Horncastle, White, Barnett (Cox 72), Barclay, Hutchinson, Collar, Pring (Rowe-Hurst 67), Tighe, Tilley.
