Albion are monitoring the well-being of Joao Teixeira ahead of Saturday’s trip to rock-bottom Blackpool.
The Portuguese playmaker missed the chance to shine on the big stage against Arsenal in the FA Cup at the Amex on Sunday due to illness.
Teixeira played a two-goal starring role on his recall to the starting line-up in the home win against Ipswich four days earlier.
Boss Chris Hughton said: “It was a massive disappointment for a young lad like him (missing Arsenal), having played so well on Wednesday. He was poorly overnight and we certainly couldn’t have played him.”
Bruno should be available for the Blackpool game. The Spanish right-back was substituted in the second half against Arsenal because of fatigue rather than an injury issue.
Two of Albion’s fellow Championship strugglers have an opportunity to make up ground this evening.
The Seagulls will be back to within three points of the relegation zone if Millwall win their game in hand at home to Reading.
Rotherham can move level on points with Albion with victory in their match in hand at home to Bolton.
