ALBION - 1
Tighe, 43 (Pen)
Brighton & Hove Albion under-18s fell to an away defeat on Saturday, in a physical contest against West Ham.
Conor Tighe had levelled the match after Jamal Hector-Ingram opened the scoring for the Hammers, but Jerry Amoo sealed all three points for the Londoners early in the second half.
Albion fell behind after 25 minutes as the hosts found an opener through Hector-Ingram, as the forward got the slightest of touches on Anthony Scully’s cross to beat Bailey Vose in the Albion goal.
The Seagulls were given a chance to equalise just before half-time, as Jamie Horcastle slid a ball through to James Tilley who was brought down in the box to earn Simon Rusk’s side a penalty.*

Conor Tighe stepped up and sent the goalkeeper the wrong way with a cool finish, and the two sides went in for half time with nothing between them, just like they did the last time they met back in October. However, similar to the match back in the Autumn, West Ham were able to take the lead early in the second half, with a goal which proved to be the winner coming in the 47th minute.
Again a cross provided an assist for the home side, as this time Joe Powell whipped a ball into the box, and Jerry Amoo was able to get the final touch narrowly ahead of the Albion defenders, to put the Hammers 2-1 up with a poacher’s effort.
The defeat is only Albion’s second loss away from home this season, an impressive record which has helped them to currently sit in the top four of the division.
ALBION (4-2-3-1): Vose, Courtney, Horncastle, White, Barnett (Cox on 71), Sanders (Mar Larusson, 60), Hutchinson, Maguire-Drew (Cadman on 81), Pring, Tighe, Tilley.
