It's knock out time. And what an intriguing contest this match up will be. We're looking for pound for pound hardness. Could be difficult between these two similar sized and behaved beasts.

The Combatants:

Wolverine

Group stage: 1st group A (33 votes)

The Wolverine is a regular competitor in the WHC competition but has so far failed to set it alight. An underrated beast it has all the qualities this competition is looking for. Small and muscular with razor sharp teeth and claws it has a strength disproportionate to its diminutive size and is famed for its ferocity, defending its kills against much larger animals such as wolves and bears. It has even been observed trying to take a kill away from a bear. After finishing top of Group A, edging out three time finalist Crocodile is the general public finally coming round to the talents of the Wolverine? We'll know more in 24 hours...

Mongoose

Group stage: joint 3rd Group B(17 votes)

Making his debut in the WHC the mongoose has done admirably to progress to the knock out stages. Like his opponent the Wolverine, the mongoose is another small, powerful beast. Like the Wolverine it possesses a tough, thick skin to protect it from bites whilst it also has some immunity to the neurotoxins in snake venom allowing it to regularly take on and kill poisonous snakes. Has it got enough to defeat its more experienced opponent?

Wolverine.

Mongoose's immunity to poison is NOT hard.
