Gordon Greer believes Albion are still on course to achieve their Premier League dream.
Greer and Inigo Calderon are the only outfield starting survivors of the Seagulls' 3-2 defeat by Arsenal in the fourth round of the FA Cup two years ago.
They tackle the Gunners again at the same stage of the competition today (4pm), fighting to stay out of relegation trouble in the Championship this time rather than for a top six finish.
Greer insists the overall ambition is unchanged - facing Arsenal twice a season.
He said: "The club is on a journey and it's geared up for Premier League football. The training ground is fantastic, we've got a fantastic stadium.
"Results this year have been up and down, performances have been up and down, but that doesn't take away from the club's ambition to get to the Premier League."
Current third choice Casper Ankergren was in goal and the injured Kazenga LuaLua and the fit-again Craig Mackail-Smith came on in the second half against the Gunners in 2013.
The other 13 members of the squad that day are no longer at the Amex. Wayne Bridge, Marcos Painter and Vicente have retired.
Dean Hammond, Liam Bridcutt, Will Buckley, Ashley Barnes and Leo Ulloa are all playing in the Premier League.
Tomasz Kuszczak is with Championship rivals Wolves, Andrea Orlandi will face his old club in the league a week tomorrow.
Adam El-Abd is on loan to Bury from Bristol City, Gary Dicker is at Carlisle and David Lopez back in Spain with Lugo.
