Start getting them ready....!! Only three days to go...!!!

Flags? 2xblue and 1xwhite from the Doncaster game.

Scarves? 2xnice blue and white bars.

Banners? Nothing yet but might work on something to drape over front of WSU (would that be allowed?)

Balloons? Trip to the shop planned for 20x blue and 20xwhite.

Rosette? 1983 vintage one ready to go (ribbons have turned purple but still in decent condition).

Tin foil FA Cup? An absolute beauty in final stages of production. Blue & white ribbon still to buy.

Teddy bear dressed up in Albion stuff including jester's hat?

Foam hand? 1983 vintage too delicate to risk.

Ticker-tape reception? Extra newspapers, bog rolls and till rolls planned.

Used to love a ticker-tape reception. Bog rolls from the West and East Upper stands would look pretty good.

It COULD look like Argentina World Cup 1978 :)

If done properly would look great. Pompey used to do the ticker tape / newspaper reception - can remember when we gave them the North Stand (wouldn't happen these days) at the Goldstone looked very impressive.

I was too young to enjoy the heyday of bog roll throwing.

Presumably there are plenty of skilled exponents on here. Any tips to pass on?

Just remember to hold on to the loose end of the paper when you do it otherwise you just end up luzzing a whole bog roll and it doesn't stream out

PLEASE do not do any of this.

Palace fans will laugh at us, we must follow their fine example.

Dress in black.
With hoodies.
Faces covered with (soiled) hankie
Look "ard"

It is very important that any Arsenal player taking a corner at the North End be spat at, verbally abused and have a few coins luzzed at them.

Make it so.

Sage advice.

I'm concerned about premature breakage though and can picture being left holding one sheet of bog paper while the still furled roll bombards WSL...

Good advice.

In these days of sphincter-friendly paper, it can be a bit too FLIMSY for hardcore LUZZING.

Back in the day we had that Izal stuff - sandpaper on one side and super-smooth greaseproof on the other. You either ripped your arse to shreds, or smeared everything everywhere.

That's what I'm worried about. Can you still get the greaseproof stuff anywhere?

It used to be on the trains but I guess even they've moved on in customer arse comfort...?

Amazing stuff, virtually re-usable to as it refused to absorb solids or liquids. As a roll, quite dense, which lends itself to a good range if you could get some " whip " in to your arm just before the point of release.
