We have got to make sure that we’re in the game, but we’ve also got to make sure we can field a team that can cause them problems. "
Chris Hughton

Brighton & Hove Albion boss Chris Hughton warned his squad of the threat that Ipswich Town will pose on Wednesday night and wants his players to replicate the same spirit shown against Brentford.

The Tractor Boys currently sit second in the Championship table and Hughton believes Albion’s opponents will be full of confidence following their 3-1 win over Millwall on Saturday.Speaking at his pre-match press conference he said, “We have got to make sure that we’re in the game, but we’ve also got to make sure we can field a team that can cause them problems.
“They’re a strong team away from home and are on the back of a 3-1 win at Millwall as well, so we’ve got to be able to compete and also ask those questions as well, that’s what we’ll be trying to do.

"I saw a lot of spirit in the team against Brentford. We went down to ten men for 30 minutes and even had a spell of going down to nine men when Craig went off the pitch.“We managed to threaten and create a number of chances in that time, so there were a lot of positives against an opposition that’s a very good team.”
Hughton also reiterated the need to secure three vital points on the night and to resume Albion’s recent rise up the table.
“At this moment what is more important than performances or luck is points; the position where we are in the league means we need to get as many points as we can however we get there, that’s more important than anything.”
