RIP Anne Kirkbride (Deidre Barlow)

Only 60 years old. It states "after a short illness on BBC"

Not a corrie fan but she has been in the show as long as I can remember.

That's a shame, again not a huge fan of the show but it's kind of been there throughout my life and so has she so RIP.

Incredible that she was only 60, she's been in that show since before we were managed by Brian Clough in 1973!!

Absolutely shocked. Have grown up with Corrie, it'll never be quite the same again.

Thoughts go out to her family and friends.

A friend of hers, a fellow actor, told my sister in law a year ago that she wanted to be partly written out of Corrie and only come back from her home in Spain to record for 3 months of the year, for 1 month every 3 or 4. Didnt say she was unwell. He did say what a lovely lady she was RIP Anne.

I've only just got in to Corrie and she was very entertaining. 60 is young.
