Albion have received a midfield double injury boost.
Jake Forster-Caskey is expected to be available for Ipswich's visit on Wednesday evening.
And Dale Stephens has been pencilled in to end his nine-month absence in the under-21s next week.
The ankle and calf injuries sustained respectively by striker Craig Mackail-Smith and substitute centre-half Greg Halford in Saturday's home defeat by Brentford are also only short-term, although both are likely to miss the Ipswich game.
England under-21 Forster-Caskey was withdrawn early in the second half against Brentford due to a minor hip problem.
Boss Chris Hughton, speaking about the trio of injuries from Saturday, said: "we're very confident that none of them are serious, but it’s about assessing them again today and seeing their availability and we'll give them every opportunity to settle down.
"Craig’s ankle is a little bit swollen so we need to see how much that settles down over the next 24 hours. Jake was his hip, that one has settled down reasonably well so we are reasonably confident.
"Greg we'll have to wait and see. It's a calf and sometimes that can take a little bit longer, but we'll give it every opportunity that we can. Of course, it's disappointing from one game to have picked up three injuries."
Halford's probable absence is compounded by Lewis Dunk's one-match ban against Ipswich, but the progress report on Stephens and winger Kazenga LuaLua, sidelined since November by knee trouble is encouraging.
Stephens has not played since suffering ankle ligament and nerve damaged against Yeovil at the Amex in April.
He has been earmarked to feature for the under-21s against Middlesbrough at the Sussex FA headquarters in Lancing next Monday (7pm).
Hughton said: "Kazenga is making good progress, Dale is making good progress and we're hoping that he can play some part of an under-21 game next week.
"It will take Dale a while. It is okay doing as much rehab as you can, but what you face in a competitive Championship game is completely different.
"He'll know that because he's used to it, so we'll make sure we make the right decisions. When you have a player returning from injury you want them to return and stay."
