Bloody hell are they the nominations? More like a smash hits party line up. Apart from a couple of artists/bands is this how bad the music scene has got in this country.?

Fortunately not. It just shows how BRIT nominations are influenced by major label dollar.

It's got to the point where the decent acts must be embarassed to get nominated.

FRUIT OF THE BLOOM
3 Nominations for Royal Blood is bloody great.

Sadly they have no chance of winning up against the very main stream opposition.

Will they get asked to play though ?.. would be terrific if they did :)

BRITISH WORST GROUP NAME
Clean Bandit
Elbow

There should be a Razzies equivalent for the Brits, this could be there along with categories like:

Most overplayed song
Most ridiculous haircut
Most pretentious video
Most likely to be forgotten by this time next year

Gotta LOVE the BRITS. Ignoring the awards, usually throws up one or more stunning live performances like...

2010 Dizzee Rascal / Florence Welch

2011 Arcade Fire

2011 Adele

I much preferred the Michael Jackson/Jarvis Cocker duet in 1996.

I remember Muse appearing a few years ago and tearing the show a new ********. That was a great performance.
