CMS ankle injury

Sitting in West Stand I didn't see clearly what happened but it has been suggested that the injury was caused by the AstroTurf perimeter. This doesn't allow boots to slide in the same way as natural grass. Anyone sitting closer have an opinion? If true, is there a significant problem with the surface?

I sit in East Upper.

I saw it as a race between him and a defender. He seemed to stretch his leg a little to far as they got to the ball. He fell over and ended up on the perimeter. I don't think that was a factor in his injury.
