It's almost as if it WAS just that we were losing games that was the issue.

(They'll be back tomorrow, obviously, if Brentford tear us a new one)

And if we win it will be . . . . pies sold out before half-time, run out of Harvey's, had to queue for 20 minutes for a Fosters and got Strongbow, catering staff are useless, park and ride is a shambles, can't they sort the trains out . . . . . take your pick, it's going to be one of these.

Or is it that the criticism was Bloom was starting to undo the good will he has with fans by standing by a structure in the club that had seen two managers want to leave and left a third without the tools or backing to achieve what was asked/expected of him, is no longer an issue? With Hyypia quitting, and Bloom sacking Burke - with an immediate change in philosophy with the club renewing deals for Lualua and other players, bringing back Halford despite competition shows that he has addressed the issues people had complaints about.

I think despite our past (Belotti/Archer etc) we're quite a tolerant bunch and won't moan until something breaks our spirit and in this case it was that the combination of crap customer service (funny how noone calls it fan service yet berates Barber for calling us customers..), dumb recruitment policy and shockingly crap performances whilst being told endlessly by the club that it'll be alright on the night when it clearly wouldn't did exactly that.

I for one can't wait to get back to just supporting the team (and moaning about queue length, dry/not enough/too hot pies, not enough servers and too expensive club shop apparel).

The Astral Planes, man...
It's been so long since the last home game that I can't remember what I was moaning about. Let's hope we get a good group tomorrow as well, the last time it was the Sally Army Band, ah that was it!

Since when did 'being a lovely bloke' warrant a contract as a footballer?

It's about his influence in the dressing room and on the pitch, the example he sets to our youngsters, his success rate when he's captain, the indefinable magic that he brings to the Albion and in a sport where loyalty, playing for enjoyment, taking a pride in the club and appreciating what it means to be a footballer is taken so much for granted we've got one of the rarest jewels in English football who goes far above and beyond the call of duty and genuinely, unquestionably deserves to be called a club legend. Players like this come along only once in a generation. He should get a contract not because he's a lovely bloke (which undoubtedly he is) but because he deserves it and the club is richer for having him here.

Probably too busy grappling with the new ticketing system Barber has down-graded to.

Or perhaps the reasons for the moans have been dealt with and people are willing to see how the fresh management team get on.

Good work Tony and Paul. Now bring back Gully's Girls and I'll be 95% happy.
