When was living in the UK I was about 5 or 6.
Since moving to Spain I am now mostly around a 9.
It's a different quality of life.

Massive prawns, massive prawns Stu.

I'm an 8 at the mo, things are quite dandy right now. However pretty sure we can lower that score around 4.50pm saturday :)

about an 8 at the moment. Got a great if challenging job and a lovely wife. Can't ask for much more really

Switch challenging and lovely around and you've got my situation.

I can be anything from 1 - 10 depending on the day and what happens in it. But it should be a 10 all the time as in the grand scheme of things I have sod all to moan about.

For me personally, I'd say location plays a distinct second to the people/support network you have around you, and on that basis you can be miserable as sin in sunny Hawaii and happy as SIMMO under the slate grey skies of Bevendean. That said, you may have a good set of people around you in Spain that you lacked when you were in the UK...

I've been off SSRI's now for 3 weeks (after 18 months use) and it's a bit head-wrecking.
Broke up with my partner of 4.5 years last Friday.
Moved into a new flat last week where the floor has started falling through, boiler broke down and electricity not working.

It's been a catastrophic start to the year for me but it'll work out.

Edit: I just re-read that and I sound absolutely tragic.

It's hard to say anything without sounding self indulgent or appearing to be attention seeking. Good for you that you can.

The brain zaps are great aren't they?

Christ, they are a nightmare.

I'm pretty much over them now and having maybe 2 a day.
The first week was awful though, any time I even turned my head I just felt my eyes were rolling around in their sockets, it was impossible to have a conversation with anyone.
I think I've been quite lucky though, no serious side affects.

This presupposes you need people and a support network. Some people prefer their own company and can get by adequately.

Reckon if you ask people in the middle of January you'll get a wildly different answer than if you ask the same people in the middle of July.

I prescribe the new 2 Bears album for January. It's sunny August already in Tubthumper Towers.
