Chris O'Grady could be on his way back to Sheffield United

First published in Albion by Andy Naylor, Chief sports reporter
Albion striker Chris O’Grady’s return to Sheffield United has moved a step closer.
The clubs have agreed in principle to O’Grady linking back up with the Blades, according to an Argus source.
But a deal which would take O’Grady back to the League One promotion challengers he served on loan before Christmas is dependent on the Seagulls replenishing their forward line in the January transfer window.
O’Grady was recalled early from his loan stint with United by caretaker manager Nathan Jones at the end of December.
He came off the bench in the year-ending win at Fulham, then scored his first goal for Albion as a substitute in Chris Hughton’s opening game in charge at Brentford in the FA Cup.
O’Grady was also used by Hughton as a second-half substitute at Charlton last Saturday.
The centre-forward, bought from Barnsley in the summer for £500,000, moved his family back up North when United borrowed him at the end of November.
