Bar steward of a bloke for splitting up The Jam.

'We are Charlie'? Too much for his own good.

I loved Weller early doors with The Jam and Style Council, has had few good tracks solo, but seems to me musically he's every so slightly trying to disappear up his own R-soul, Bonoesque style.

Not sure I'm being swayed by his nobby haircut thou.

Loved the jam, but let's face it he's a hypocrite who wrote espouses socialism and wrote eton rifles yet he sends his kids to private school, same as Bruce fox ton who sent his son to...............you've guessed it , ETON !!

Doesn't bother me too much, music to me is about the music, not too much about the message or reasons behind it.

If it made me jump about as a kid, or made me feels the dogs, then it's ok in my book.

Just got myself tickets to see Paul Weller at the Sydney Opera house in Feb. Very excited and thought I would make myself a Jam/Style Council/Paul Weller Playlist. I need to fight the desire to focus on The Jam and the first Paul Weller Movement album.

Does anyone know of any hidden PW gems on Spotify and/or some of the highlights from his later albums I may have missed.

. . . and of course, don't forget to open a thread about Paul Weller and tell us you don't like him. It is both useful and necessary in the social media age. :ROFLMAO:

I'll post the playlist when I am finished.

I remember there was a Jools Holland special a while ago which was just Paul Weller playing Stanley Road in its entirety. Fantastic. I went out the next day and bought the album, which is still very much a favourite. Why bother with anything else?

but he obviously Did much, much more…… not bad for somebody from Woking.

The PW Movement album was excellent IMHO. Into Tomorrow, Uh Hu, Oh Yeah and Kosmos are great songs! Introducing and Cafe Bleu were also great SC albums
