Brighton & Hove Albion's 1-0 win over Charlton Athletic gave the Seagulls a unique hat-trick of victories; winning three consecutive games in London for the first time in their history.
*

After back-to-back 2-0 wins over Fulham and Brentford, Chris Hughton’s men completed the historic treble at The Valley on Saturday.
*
With Albion drawn away to Brentford in the FA Cup third round it meant the trip to Griffin Park was sandwiched between two league trips to the capital, and the Seagulls have come away victorious in every game without conceding a goal.

It was the fourth time in Albion’s history that they have played three successive away games in London, but the first time in 70 years that it has occurred.
*
The last time was in 1944, during the emergency war competitions. Before that you would have to go back to 1913 and November 1902 - when the Seagulls faced four consecutive games in the capital - but on none of these occasions did Albion manage to win three in a row.
*
Albion have secured three consecutive victories on visits to London, but never in a row as the games were interrupted by wins, draws or defeats elsewhere and not successive fixtures.
*
The last time the Seagulls won three games in London was 26 years ago, during the 1987/88 season, when Fulham (twice) and Brentford were defeated.[h=3]ALBION V brentford
