We've got to make sure we get enough points in the league to see us okay and that starts on Saturday."
Chris Hughton

Brighton & Hove Albion boss Chris Hughton has told his players not to lose focus on league matters ahead of Saturday’s Championship match against Charlton Athletic at The Valley.
*
The Seagulls host current FA Cup holders Arsenal in the fourth round of the competition on 25th January, but Hughton says it is vital the players keep their eyes on the upcoming league games against Charlton and Brentford.
*
He said, "Last week was a very good result for us against a very good team and it's great that it has kept us in the competition.
*
“By the time the Arsenal game comes around there will be great excitement, but as soon as Saturday night came it was very much planning for what arguably is more important for us.

After making an impressive start to the season, the Addicks have not managed a win in their last eight games in all competitions, but Hughton is not paying any attention to the form book ahead of the trip to South London.
*
"They are a tough side to beat and it's an indication of how this league is. They started very well and then expectations rise. Possibly in that period you pick up results you didn't expect.
*
"This league is a great leveller. You can't have the start they had and not be a good side. It's just the rigours of this campaign. It's very difficult to sustain it for long periods unless you have the type of squads some clubs have.
*
"There's no doubt they are a good side, otherwise they wouldn't have had the half-season they've had.”
*
The Albion boss then went onto praise the impact of striker Chris O’Grady, following his contribution to the side since returning from a loan spell at Sheffield United.
*
“He may not be getting the starts he would like, but he has certainly played a part and been able to make an impact and right at this moment he’s very important to us.
*
“But as always you’re still trying to evaluate the squad, assess what you have and he would probably be in no different position than most players. It’s a nice position for me as you’ve got a lot of players fighting for places and some have just come back from injury as well, so that’s a good way to be.” [h=3]ALBION V brentford
