Blackburn Debt £79.8M After FFP

They must be in serious trouble, 3rd year of premier money very few decent assets, and owners who are probably not interested.

Remind me again, why is it essential that in order to survive / get much needed cash, we need to get promoted to the Premier League again?

Far too many clubs are getting relegated with seriously crippling debts (Bolton and Blackburn for example) so would we actually be better off getting promoted for one season and relegated straight away? (new costly players, etc, as a result and the dramatic loss of income to pay for them following relelgation plus the high costs possibly involved in getting that promotion in the first place adding to the losses.

FFp is trying to stop that £79.8m loss becoming £100m, £150m, £200m and try to get clubs to be more finacially responsible and try to safeguard their futures.

The high levels of debt probably have more to do with the high costs of going to watch football compared to watching games in other countries and yet fans in this country still turn up their noses at reasonably priced players because it just doesn't have that big money excitement factor, so clubs take on even more debt in the process which has to be serviced somehow and the fans end up having to pay. (and / or St Johns Ambulance, local businesses, etc, in a lot of other cases)

Does anyone have a comparison to show how much debt German football clubs have as they charge lower admission prices?
