What tips would you give a 21-year-old you?

Jevs thread on rent got me thinking... there is a lot of wisdom and life experience on this board, and maybe we could help out the younger members of this forum. So if you could go back and see yourself at 21, what advice/tips would you give for the future? Might be about finance, travel, work, families, girlfriends etc

I'd be very interested to hear what you have to say.

i was a complete shambles at 21. i'd probably tell myself to stop trying pretending to be something you're not and that the world doesn't owe you a living- you have to get off your arse and try. if you mess up then at least you've tried and have something to learn from

my life quite dramatically changed for the better about 2 years ago (aged 25). i wasn't in any way functioning as an adult

If you ever go to Fulham away and hear a chubby ginger mug say, "Let's steam it", don't reply, "Excuse me".

Don't waste all your money on clothes that have big words on the front or very small animals instead.

Be nicer to your girlfriends but not too nice.
