Where was Jones on Saturday

I could only get a ticket in the home end, so went in the 'calmer' stand right behind the dugouts and indulged in a bit of people watching during the match.

You could see Jones was having to hold himself back a bit in the first half after Fulham, and left CH standing alone in the technical area.

But as the second half progressed he started getting up a bit more, shouting advice at players, and speaking more with the manager.

There is no doubt that initially at least he will be an invaluable resource for Hughton, because he knows the players strengths and weaknesses. I think the test will come when Hughton has made his own mind up about the players, but hopefully he will find a way to harness Nathan's undoubted qualities and loyalty to the club.
