New boss Chris Hughton has brought skipper Gordon Greer straight back into the starting line-up for Albion’s FA Cup tie at Brentford today.
Greer has missed the last six games due to a knee injury but is recalled at the expense of Greg Halford as Hughton bids to launch his reign with victory at Griffin Park.
The return of the Scotland international is one of four changes made by Hughton from the 2-0 victory at Fulham on Monday night.
Sam Baldock – an unused substitute against Fulham – makes his first appearance since the 3-3 draw at Norwich on November 22 in place of Adrian Colunga.
Solly March is rewarded for his goal at Craven Cottage by being promoted to the starting line-up to replace Elliott Bennett who has returned to Norwich after a loan spell.
Adam Chicksen also makes only his second appearance since the end of October as he gets the nod at right-back in place of the injured Joe Bennett.
Albion (4-2-3-1): Stockdale; Calderon, Dunk, Greer, Chicksen; Ince, Holla; Baldock, Teixeira, March; Mackail-Smith. Subs: Walton, Halford, Hughes, Rea, Toko, McCourt, O’Grady.
Brentford (4-2-3-1): Bonhham; Odubajo, Dean, Tarkowski, Bidwell;*Judge,Diagouraga, Jota, Smith,Toral; Gray. Subs: Lee, Craig, Saunders, Tebar, Dallas, Yennaris, Proschwitz.
