Only 100 issues in the series to buy at £9 a pop! £900 to build a cheaply made plastic model. Enough mugs must subscribe to these absurd magazines to keep DeAgostini a viable business model.

It never ceases to amaze me that these magazines still exist.

On another note, what's with the 'signature' to your post?

It's not plastic at all and it is a 1/1 scale too. A snip for a Falcon at £900.000 !

I'm pretty sure they stopped publishing it for a while due to lack of interest or something. It's being advertised on the telly, so I'm guessing it's back on...

Imagine forking out that much money and them pulling the plug on it before you managed to finish it :nono:

There was a Bismarck one a few years back, took about 3 years to complete and was about 8' long when done

I mistakenly bought the 1941 model kit of The Bismarck, when I finished mine it just went round in circles.

I just saw the advert for this and honestly find it hard to believe that anyone would actually do it.

As a question, what happens if they cancel it after 60 issues due to poor sales? Do those who've purchased it up to that point just have to accept that it will never be finished?

If I won the lottery it might tempt me, but that's probably the only way I would buy it.

The good, presumably unemployed and single, folk at Fullscalefalcon.com have admirably begun work on a 1:1 model. I'd buy that for £900.

Well if you can get in it, I suppose yes you can fly it, at that price it must come with a full tank of nuclear stuff

Why go nuclear when you can engage hyperdrive by pressing a button ?
