OBE,CBE, a degree in sports science.
A former England captain.Has her UEFA pro license.
Has been seen to be able to oversee Acadamy age players.
Inducted into English footballs "Hall of fame".
Not many candidates have anywhere near her credentials.

Absolutely no experience of managing a professional male team either. You whinge about Bloom but that would be a headline grabbing gamble that I suspect would't work. The players need to be motivated and in the testosterone world of the footie dressing room do you think BHA appointing the first female manager would help avoid relegation?

you can add ten more titles onto her to make it sound more trendy, but the fact remains, she has managed the England womans team (badly), whom i guess would be at the level and beaten by most non league teams.
she's had ZERO experience managing a mens team, a different dynamic. She's had ZERO experience managing in the football league, a different dynamic. She has the equivalent experience of managing at the level of Whitehawk or Lewes and she had virtually no success and was sacked after failing to get past first round in the 2013 euros.
I couldnt give a shit if she's gay, straight, bi, or celibate.....we're 4 points adrift and need experience, even if someone did want to entertain such a ridiculous vanity project, it would not be for Hope Powell as she is SHIT.
So pack up your fishing rod, or alternatively, shove it where the sun don't shine
