Enjoying the thoughtful and in-depth discussion with Nick S.
Nick argues that JFC has been playing well for the U21s in a different role to the quasi-holding one he has been asked to play under Sami. I've seen all of JFC's appearances (online) for the U21s and he has been playing a holding role, but the difference is he has a quality set of midfielders to gel with. It's great that at Wolves he played a more natural and unfettered role very well, but I don't think it's as simple as 'a different role'.
JFC has been frustrating for the Albion this year, but I still think he has the potential to be a very, very good player, provided we can get a midfield working effectively together.
