Linked last time and many, me included, thought he would be a very good fit.

Problem is last time we were looking for a new manager we were a real prospect, a team on the brink of the Premiership. Can't see us attracting him now unless we can promise a decent budget.

If only. Turned down Fulham a couple of months ago and has close links with them.

we need a manager who is able to get us out of the hole we are in and one with experience of this league. Not someone who is another gamble.

Agreed, but Bloom doesn't have a history of appointing someone with that background. Also would such a person come with the current structure of player recruitment?
