If it is a white 64 plate RR, there will also be a 63 plate black BMW, all in keeping with Hove Park darlings, don't ya know! Sadly, this lot kill pets too, they need 'encouragement' to leave our area. People should call Sussex Police demanding that they invoke Section 61-62 of the Public Order act as the 'aliens' are disrupting the normal lives of the community. Plod will not want to act as they really do not want to get involved in 'traveller' issues, they would rather let the local council have the grief, but the Police alone are the only people able to invoke the above law which requires the Do-as-you-Likeys to leave nigh on immediately.

Drove past the fly tipping community this morning. Rather a lot of them there now. Bet the council and police don't bother to move them on though.

I heard that the council and social workers were on site this morning.
they were undertaking a head count per caravan, and taking statements which were on the lines of 'we are all victims'.
Once they got all them numbers they immediately went back to one of the very many council offices, and called an emergency meeting of all heads of departments.
during this meeting the level of funds available for this sort of thing were checked and double checked.
The council have just this minute issued the following statement ...
"We have now satisfied ourselves as to how many travellers and their dependents are on site. It has been suggested that they vacate the site with immediate effect, however having consulted with our social services department it has been agreed that they should not leave until the 27th December as this will facilitate us by providing a longer lead time in which we can source and deliver one Turkey per caravan and at least two presents for each child. We have managed to fund the cost of this by diverting monies from other areas such as OAP grants".

They are shitehawks, should have seen the mess when there were only 6 of the twats in Preston park. They even left a caravan for the council to remove, probably stolen no doubt but they seem above the law
If the second of those tweets in the story is true then it really shows how little the police give a toss about this problem.

'The police have decided to use their powers under Section 61 of the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994 to direct the Travellers to leave and have given the Travellers a deadline of 9am tomorrow, Thursday 18th December to vacate the site..'

No, that will be the relentless pressure applied to the Police by the councillors and resident associations of the Hove Park area. I live not too far away and am very happy that on this occasion plod have actually used their powers. Unfortunately when the same group rocked up in Shoreham at 2 separate locations on consecutive weeks our local constabulary were far less willing to help and left it to Adur District Council and West Sussex County Council to seek eviction via the courts which takes far longer.
No doubt there are some senior Police Officers living in or around HP.
