The minute’s applause will be a touching gesture to remember Alex."
Martin Schooley

Brighton & Hove Albion will hold a minute’s applause in tonight’s Sky Bet Championship match against Millwall to remember the life of Alex Jackson, who tragically passed away in a car crash last week.
*
The 18-year-old was killed after a collision near Brighton Racecourse which also left his girlfriend and one of his friends in life-threatening conditions.
*
For the last ten years Alex had been part of Albion in the Community’s (AITC) Kicks project that provides free football and other sporting opportunities for young people in deprived areas of Sussex.
*
A minute’s applause will ring out at the Amex in the 18 minute in honour of the teenager, and AITC coach Martin Schooley paid this tribute, “Alex was a respectful, considerate and responsible lad with an impish sense of humour.
*
“He was an intelligent footballer with a huge passion for football, and was equally popular amongst staff and peers. He will be sorely missed.
*
"The minute’s applause will be a touching gesture to remember Alex.”
