Casper Ankergren makes a rare appearance for Albion today.
The experienced third-choice keeper plays for the under-21s against MK Dons at Lancing (1pm).
Republic of Ireland under-21s centre-half Glen Rea also features following his call-up to the first team squad as an unused substitute at Derby on Saturday.
The free-admission clash against MK at the Sussex FA's Culver Road headquarters is Albion's opening fixture in the Final Third Development League Cup.
It is the first of five games in the group stage of the competition, run by the Football League and open to all registered players.
They will also play AFC Wimbledon and Cambridge United at home, Luton and Gillingham away, with the top two from the group progressing to the semi-finals.
Coach Simon Ireland will have to field an inexperienced side against fellow strugglers Stoke City in the next game in the under-21s Premier League.
That takes place in the Potteries on Friday night (7pm), when the seniors are in action against Millwall at the Amex.
Albion's under-21s are propping up the table, below Stoke on goal difference.
