I think mine has to be finding someone to go to see u2 with.

I purchased a single ticket this morning. Fail.

I think it was getting out of bed yesterday morning. I did something to my neck in the night and ended up in AGONY. Lay there half the night thinking I was going to DIE, then in the morning found that my neck was no longer able to carry the weight of my head without burning with pain.

Took me 20 minutes to get upright and dressed, and a further three hours of shuffling carefully about / painkillers and ibuprofen gel, before feeling halfway comfortable.

Most unpleasant.

Nestling in green nowhere
Battling alcohol addiction (and winning). Leaving my wife. Losing a well paid job. Getting nicked for something I didn't do. The list goes on and on I'm afraid.

It's all made me very philosophical.

Losing my job (hard at the time, though I'm much better off for it now)
Burying my father
Giving in, admitting and getting treatment for depression.

This is a happy post.

Starting a company that invests in and supports several businesses during one of the deepest economic downturns known to man and coming out the other side!

Puts my woes into perspective. I hope the treatment works out.

Getting on the housing ladder.

Managed it last month. Just sheer relief to have managed it/relocating/changing jobs all at the same time. Looking forward to a Christmas break now.

Cheers bud. I've had it for a few years now; day to day i'm ok but most of that is learning the signs when I'm going to have a low period and dealing with that. I'm fully aware that many have it worse in many different ways, though - my situation is/was is nothing compared to some.

at home
Nearly shuffling off this mortal coil 4 years ago when after being carted into hospital they found (, due to the belligerence of Laura demanding that I had a ct scan after the useless registrar thought it was my bp pills and was sending me home) that I had heaps of blood clots on my lungs, which if some had broken off, it would have been curtains.:(
