Sounded like a man who has lost grasp of reality to me. He must be living in some surreal universe at the moment. As a player he was a winner, as a manager he is a terminal loser. What is it something like 4 wins in his last 35 matches? That is a shocking statistic. I genuinely think he can't comprehend what has happened to him over the last 12 months and doesn't know how to halt it. The bloke's a mess.

What did you expect him to do; break down in tears and say "I can't go on, it's hopeless" or maybe rip off his shirt and show the scars from the constant self-scourging?

Do anything but don't laugh about what just happened. He's the manager of the football club I love and he does not have one redeeming feature as a boss. He is utterly dreadful.
