It’s not the time to be selfish, it’s time to be thinking about the team and the club"

Brighton & Hove Albion defender Bruno insists the players need to play for the club and not themselves ahead of today’s clash with league leaders Derby.

The Spaniard - who signed a one-year extension earlier this week - told seagulls.co.uk, “It’s not the time to be selfish, it’s time to be thinking about the team and the club.
*
“Every single game for us is like a final, we need to work hard and give 100 percent.
*
“We need to know what [the situation] means for the club and we need to change it. There’s a phrase ‘sometimes you win and sometimes you learn’ and we need to win.
*
“We’ve learnt too much now. We need the points because the next two months are the most important for us.
*
“It’s nicer to play at the top of the table but now it’s time for the experienced players to step forward and help the younger ones.
*
“When you are playing well it’s much easier to win but we have to find a way to do it.
*
“We have enough time to change the situation but when we get to the end of the season it’s more difficult.”

Bruno went on to admit Albion’s next test couldn’t be more difficult as they make the trip to the Championship leaders, but the defender remains upbeat about the challenge.
*
“For the last two seasons they have had the same team more or less and they have a good squad.
*
“They know how they play and know each other and play great football. They are at the top of the table and we will have a really difficult game.
*
“We need to do the basics right and give 100 percent and if we do that, we can get the win.” [h=3]ALBION V MILLWALL
