People, anyone had the two together?

If so, did you consider it:

a) a bit porny?
b) a bit chavy?
c) utterly pointless and stupid?

Prosecco is chavvy*, with or without a hot tub. Now, hot tub and DP** is very sexy, providing there's a woman in there with you. Naturally.

*some Prosecco's are stunning. The chavvy comment was as a "comedic" effect to set up the punchline.
**Dom Perignon. Obviously.

The hot tubs are ok the Prosecco generally is not so but people think it is 'cool 'to drink it, especially snobs who cant afford champagne.

Nothing cool about Prosecco, but Bandol Rose in a hot tub is cool

Mmmm, SNOB alert.

My attitude to Prosecco goes back to when I lived in Italy. There was a full range of bubbly drinks, including Asti Spumante and Prosecco, that were incredibly popular with the locals - but for one reason only. They were cheaper than Coca Cola.

I considered it in probably the same way you did this afternoon whilst driving the car and listening to Simon Mayo.

Champagne is overpriced and overrated. Assuming you drink non vintage champagne then you really are much better off with a bottle of some other sort of sparkling wine.

Picked up a bottle of Leffe Ruby in Asda last night. Leffe can do no wrong in my eyes, usually, but this is like drinking carbonated Ribena.

Scuppered.

It's a guilty pleasure of mine. Two hours of middle-aged families joking with Simon about how much alcohol they'll be consuming this weekend when they finally reach their destination, which is 4 hours away in good traffic, but the traffic isn't good of course. 8 year old kids requesting 70's classics and The Muppets at 5:10pm every week complete the usual running of things.

I was just annoyed it finished at 7 when I was driving from Copthorne to Somerset in Friday rush hour.

Fondly remember Mayo when he was at his pompy religious best on the Radio 1 brecky show when it used to be good. Older now, things move on, but he still has a certain charm. Poptastic.
