train or coach, whats best to Uni of Greenwich..?

I don't know of any direct coach service from Brighton to Greenwich. I guess you could try Brighton to Victoria Coach Station and then local transport onwards to Greenwich. Very time consuming, though, and likely to be not much cheaper than the train fare.

If you break up the journey it's cheaper. A super off peak day return from Brighton to London Bridge is £10 and a return from London Bridge to Greenwich must be less than £8.40.

Traveline South East recommends a few exotic ways to get from Brighton to Greenwich without using trains.

I particularly like the option of using the National Express coach to Gatwick, then changing to the easyBus coach to Waterloo, where the Thames Clipper Riverbus will take you onwards to Greenwich. Just over 3 hours for the whole journey.
