We need everyone to put 100% effort in to do the right things and step up mentally as well. "
Sami Hyypia

Brighton & Hove Albion boss Sami Hyypia says it is up to him and his squad to turn their fortunes around, after a 2-1 defeat to Fulham saw the side drop into the bottom three.
*
Hyypia is counting on his players to show character and to be positive despite their position in the table.
*
He told seagulls.co.uk, "It's not a nice situation and we need to turn it around very quickly. This league is very tight and if we win a few games then we are out of the bottom three and in mid table.
*
"We can't affect what the opposition or referees do, but we can affect what we do on the training field and will continue to work hard and correct what is going wrong.
*
"If we feel sorry for ourselves and become miserable, then we will and continue to do the wrong things. We need everyone to put 100% effort in to do the right things and step up mentally as well.
*
"It is important now to regroup, encourage each other and hopefully we will have players in the squad that show the level of character needed to get out of trouble."

One of the positives from the game was Darren Bent's goalscoring debut and Hyypia praised the England international for his immediate impact.
*
"It is not that easy to come to a strange team and make an impact straightway.
*
"Darren had only two sessions with us and I thought that he did well today. I don't know when he last played 90 minutes and looked a bit tired, but he took his goal well and had a few other chances.
*
"That is why we brought him here, to score goals and it is now the responsibility of the other players to create the chances for him."*[h=3]ALBION V MILLWALL
