Sami Hyypia says his Brighton & Hove Albion team must stop letting leads slip, after he watched his side go down 2-1 to Fulham, having lead through Darren Bent's first goal for the club. The frustrated Seagulls boss told seagulls.co.uk, "We need to learn how to deal with those situations. It is not the first time that we have been ahead and given the lead away this season.
"I hope it will be the last time, but we all need to step up mentally and understand that our game plan does not change when we score a goal.
"We created chances to score in the first half and we kept going after half-time and finally got the goal. Then everything suddenly changed.
"[After scoring] We become nervous, maybe we are too slow to react, we invite pressure and then it all goes wrong.
"Perhaps we need to start scoring in the final minute so there is no time left to change our game or change our mentality, because we are not doing the right things after we score."

Hyypia was also disappointed with the manner in which his team conceded their two goals, and felt his side made it too easy for Fulham, as Hugo Rodallega and Lasse Christensen turned the game in the visitors' favour."The goals were poor ones to concede. The first was a good strike, but we could have defended much better before that.
"For the second one, you cannot help it when a ball takes a deflection, but the player should not be allowed to get into that position to shoot in the first place."
Albion have slipped into the drop zone, but Hyypia feels Albion have what it takes to get out of trouble.
"The league position is not nice. We are frustrated and the fans have the right to voice their opinion. I know that we will get criticism after this performance and because of the position in the table.
"We need to grow bigger and be on top of that and believe in what we are doing. When we are doing the right things on the field we can dominate teams, but we have to do that for 90 minutes."
Meanwhile, Hyypia revealed skipper Gordon Greer missed the game with a knee injury, and that Kazenga LuaLua also picked up a knee injury.
"Gordon has knee problems and that is why he did not take part. It is a bit up and down and I don’t know if he will be out for a while or whether he will be back sooner rather than later.
"Kazenga took a knock to his knee and will have a scan tomorrow so we will know more on Monday."
