Two Brighton & Hove Albion under-18 players have had their goals shortlisted in the League Football Education’s (LFE) goal of the month award for October.

Jordan Maguire-Drew’s brace in a 5-1 victory over Tottenham and Connor Tighe’s strike in the 2-1 win against Chelsea have been included in the 13 goals selected by the LFE.

Tighe is a previous winner from last season, after his long-distance strike against Queens Park Rangers secured the prize for March.

LFE chief executive Alan Sykes said: “This competition draws attention to the next wave of talented young players that are on the apprenticeship programme at clubs across the land.
