Does anyone want 2 tickets for the first night of Glare @ the Linbury, Royal Opera House, tonight @7:45?
It's billed thus: "The difference between the perfect tablet computer and the perfect girlfriend is blurred in this new operatic thriller....".
Much better than the traditional opera story of Girl meets Boy, falls in love, suffers slings and arrows of outrageous fortune, culminating in a) Girl dies, b) Girl dies, followed swiftly by Boy dying, c) Boy dies, followed swiftly by Girl dying, d) Girl takes sleeping draft, making it look like she's died; Boy finds her, thinks she's dead and commits suicide; Girl wakes up to find Boy dead; Girl commits suicide*, or e) the entire main cast dying; huh?
Anyway, for reasons too boring to mention, we can no longer go. Face value £25 per ticket, central stalls tickets, I can arrange for you to pick them up at the ROH.
Not looking for any cash - a small contribution to REMF wouldn't go amiss, if you like.
