Got a taxi from brighton station to Hove park area on Saturday and that was £10 so nothing suprises me.

This. I've never paid more than fifteen when the taxi was on a meter.

A couple months ago we (my family) had to attend a funeral service at Worthing crematorium in Findon. My two daughters had to come by taxi. The journey from the gates of the crematorium to the crematorium itself was another £5.00. There's got to be a gag in there somewhere!
