We need to think about which players to use because we have six loan players and have to leave one out."
Sami Hyypia

Brighton & Hove Albion manager Sami Hyypia faces a loan headache, as he prepares to leave one of his six loanees out of the match-day squad to face Blackburn Rovers.
*
Albion currently have Joe Bennett, Gary Gardner (both Aston Villa), Joao Teixeira (Liverpool), Elliott Bennett (Norwich), Greg Halford (Nottingham Forest) and Ali Al-Habsi (Wigan Athletic) on loan at the club, but the Football League rules state that only five loan players are allowed in the 18-man squad.
*
Hyypia told*seagulls.co.uk, “We need to think about which players to use because we have six loan players and have to leave one out.”
*
“It’s not the easiest decision and not an easy thing to tell a player that we brought on loan to help us out but I have to do it.”

LATEST NEWS FROM SEAGULLS.CO.UK

The Finn has been busy in the loan market this week, with three additions to his squad, and Hyypia added, “It’s been a very short period of time and we have a few new faces.
*
“It’s difficult for the players and for us to get to know them and get the best out of them in a short space of time but we’ll see what happens.
*
“I know it’s not easy to go into a new team and gel in a few hours like Greg [Halford] did, but we needed cover for the centre-back position.
*
“If something had happened then we weren’t comfortable with the options and it was important that Greg was on the bench on Tuesday to help if something happened in the centre of defence.
*
“With Elliott, he was at home from the first minute as he knew a few of the players and seems to be a very good guy.” [h=3]ALBION V blackburn
