Just WHY are B'muff top of our league?

I ask you this question, even though I did actually think they were our best opponents at the Amex last season.

Is it their hungry young intellegent manager (apologies in advance for being unavoidably patronising)?
Is it their scouting network giving them an edge?
Have they got loads of dosh to buy promotion?
Is it their formation, perhaps?
Is it just sheer luck of unfathomable proportions?

At this particular point in time, why are they the best team in the Championship, little old B'muff, for facks sacks, in their small but nice stadium with the pay and display car park next door (again, really patronising and uncalled for, sorry)?

Why, NSC, oh why?

They have a settled squad of 26 players without all the loans.

They play a possession game better than us (by a small margin) and but have a greater conversion rate, but inferior at interceptions, inferior at passing, and not much better overall. I think they will go through a bad run starting this weekend, but still might make the play-offs or miss out narrowly.

Their players *may* be on a massive bonus to do well. Which I doubt ours are.

They do seem to have won a lot of penalties, played against 10 men for large periods of games so yeah maybe.
Also, they seem to be in the habit at the moment that everything they hit, seems to find the back of the net.
Lucky or good? Who knows....

God knows. Horrible, dirty, over-rated, mickey-mouse club with an arrogant, smug tosser for a manager who believes his own hype. Hope they crash and burn soon.

Pleased that Elphick and Cook are doing well though, just wish it wasn't there.

Best goal difference in the division despite departure of striker.

Attractive football that has an end product.

A manager who's obviously able to motivate his players to have a go at Premiership teams in Cup competitions.

As Burnley did, as Palace did they have a good squad, a good manager that uses them in an effective system which is unfortunately everything we dont have and why we are close to the bottom rather than the top. You don't need world beaters just some solid players playing in a system that suits them.

There current team cost £4.1 million. They made that back in commision on the Southampton Lalana sale.
