Brighton & Hove Albion and Albion in the Community will be well represented at the Football Business Awards, having been shortlisted in five categories ahead of tonight’s ceremony at Stamford Bridge, home of Chelsea FC.

For a third consecutive year AITC has been shortlisted for the ‘Best Football Community Scheme’ award, recognising the charity’s ongoing work with the Sussex community to increase participation in sport, tackle inequality, improve health and wellbeing, and boost education and employment opportunities.AITC have also been nominated for the ‘Best Corporate Social Responsibility Scheme’, an award that AITC, in partnership with American Express, previously won at last year's awards.

Newly-established company, TribeHive, formed after a collaboration between Albion and Sussex University, have been shortlisted in the ‘Best Football App’ category, following the creation of the Albion smartphone app.

The club’s telecoms provider, Overline, are included in the ‘Best Business Serving Football - over £2million turnover’ category.

Finally, the Seagulls will also be represented in the ‘Best Fan Engagement by a Club’ category for the highly-successful annual Young Seagulls Christmas Party.

Last year’s Christmas Party saw 2,000 Young Seagulls descend on the Amex Stadium for an afternoon filled with festive fun, including a Santa’s grotto, roller rink and disco, and the chance to get an autograph and a photo with first-team players. This year’s party will take place on Sunday 21st December.
