We wondered whether Elliott Bennett would play. It looks he will be one of two wide players either side of Sam Baldock. How wide he stays remains to be seen. Walton returns in goal for the ineligible Al-Habsi and the side has four predominantly attacking players as opposed to the three at Bournemouth. It will be intriguing what that means in practice but here is a possible formation.

There is some doubt as to how Wigan will line up at the back after losing central defender Leon Barnett to suspension. Even their own local reporters seem slightly puzzled after seeing the team sheet. The most likely is that James Perch will play in the middle on his return from a hip injury. There is also the option of three at the back and wing backs.
