Inigo Calderon has urged Albion to be on guard against a Tottenham backlash.
The Seagulls visit a Spurs side shocked 2-1 on their own patch by Newcastle on Sunday.
And Calderon reckons that Toon comeback from 1-0 down has done his own team no favours.
Albion’s experienced right-back said: “The result they had against Newcastle didn’t help us.
“They were winning against a team near the bottom. I know their manager will not be happy with the team.
“I know they will train so hard thinking ‘we cannot be over-confident because see what happened against Newcastle’.”
