So Sami gets sacked, Jones takes charge for Spurs & you're put in charge for Saturday. What's your first team, assuming no Stephens, CMS or Bruno?

Personally I would go for a diamond given our lack of wingers now we've sold most of them

Whatever the personnel, first thing is I would tell my full backs to defend and to only overlap when the time is right.

I'd want my width coming from midfield. I'd be tempted to play a 4-4-1-1, 2 wingers, with perhaps Baldock up top with O'Grady coming short. O'Grady's great strength to me is that he's a classic 'bum' striker in that he keep a defending behind him and play the way he's facing. We're not using that enough, and it's perhaps ideal for someone like Baldock to pick up these lay offs, or be put through by the person getting the layoff from O'Grady - you know, basic football in triangles with overlapping runs. We've simply got no one overlapping each other at the moment.

We've using 3 in midfield at the moment that lack any real flair, imagination or make penetrating runs. With our attacking full backs, they're not really getting at wide to help either.

I know it wasn't inspiring, but I'd start going back to more like Garcia had us last season, at least to start pulling away from the danger zone. That 4-4-1-1 switching to 4-5-1 when we haven't got the ball.
