Nice gesture by the club to give him a special day out

And a shirt to go with the occasion too.

Now he certainly isn't a JCL!

Remember him from the Goldstone. Quality old guy. Loved it.

You say that, but I believe they said it was his first visit to the Amex. Thanks for your support, chap.

Seriously - nice touch.

I know people who were regular supporters at the Goldstone but have never been to the Amex. These are generally retired guys or unemployed and through reason of finance or simply no longer having friends & family to go with, feel unable to attend.

There's a lot of talk about lonlyness in the older generation and i'm sure that there are many who would just like what could possibly be there last chance to see a live match again, especially for those who watching Albion played such a large part in their lives.

With no shortage on seats now, wouldn't it be great if Albion could offer one special free day for these people who are so often neglected?

Watching the team performance I doubt he'll be back in a hurry!

a free seat at a designated game for all those over 70s
who went to the Goldstone but have never been to the Amex
they might even buy a programme, a pie and a pint

I will always remember the last match at Withdean, walking under the tunnel on the way home and all the old people with banners/flags wishing us well at the Amex.

Would be nice to invite them too :)

My old man has leukemia and despite going to the Goldstone for 30 years and Gillingham he only went to the Amex once and found it too much. I miss going with him.
