If (when?) Sam Hyypia goes, who could REALISTICALLY replace him?

Paolo Di Canio.
Because passion is what matters, and a nutter on the touchline is the only way forward.
(I know this because of my faithful reading of NSC....)
Oh, and managerial experience, including at the top level at Sunderland.

Roy Keane - the Roy Keane that got Sunderland up not the one who went to Ipswich. From the sounds of it the interviews would be a hell of lot more interesting. Imagine Keane giving a assessment of Barber and Burke. It would be glorious, chaotic, passionate and a real roller coaster of a ride. Much better than Mr. Grey, hi I am magnolia paint, I am SO boring Sami Hyypia.

Still want Eddie Howe. Wanted him in the summer, but can no longer see why he'd swap Bournemouth for us.

Can't believe I am saying this but for me it has to be Tony Pulis. We need passion and excellent man management skills to get us out of this rut. Not suggesting it is a long term fit.
